Alex Bushill heads up Mind’s Media Advisory service which helps producers, researchers and writers at soaps and dramas to create accurate, responsible storylines about mental health.

Our latest research shows that 1 in 5 people who tuned in to a mental health storyline on a soap or drama realised themselves that they were experiencing mental health problems themselves, or had done so in the past.

Mind’s media team also advises on documentaries. Before joining Mind as Head of Media & PR nearly two years ago, Alex was a BBC News anchor and correspondent.
