Professor Shakoor Hajat

Professor of Global Health at London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine

Shakoor Hajat is a Professor of Global Environmental Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and Director of the Health Protection Research Unit on Environmental Change and Health (https://www.lshtm.ac.uk/research/centres-projects-groups/hpru-ech). Shakoor researches the public health impacts of climate change and planetary health. He is a committee member of the LSHTM Centre on Climate Change and Planetary Health and editorial board member for the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. Shakoor is also Programme Director of the LSHTM MSc Public Health course and recently contributed to the development of a new MSc in Climate Change and Planetary Health.
