Dr. Marcia Brophy

Dr Marcia Brophy is child psychologist, trauma-informed yoga teacher and an international mental health expert with over 25 years’ experience. Her areas of expertise and interest include child and adolescent mental health, particularly depression, anxiety, self-harm reduction and prevention of suicide; working in post conflict and fragile settings; and developing community-based culturally contextualised mental health services. She has worked extensively across Middle East and North Africa, Eastern and Central Europe, South East Asia, and South and East Africa. She is also a board member of Jaya Mental Health, a research fellow of the Young Foundation, and founder of Menopause-ology, a global online community designed to support women's mental health and wellbeing during menopause and mid-life transitions.
