Philomena Gibbons

Associate Director, Transition & Legacy, Wellcome Trust

Philomena is Associate Director, Transition & Legacy, at the Wellcome Trust, where she has worked for the past 30 years, having previously worked as a modern foreign languages teacher and an arts administrator.

At Wellcome, Phil has spent most of her career implementing Wellcome’s strategies in humanities & social science research, public engagement, education and learning, open research and Wellcome Collection. She has also overseen OKRE’s development from idea to spin-out.

Phil is a Trustee of a number of other charities, including Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisers Europe.
