The Laughing Matters Fellowship is a funded three-month development programme for writers and producers. It will support pairs of creatives to develop comedy projects that reflect climate and health themes in fresh, funny and authentic ways.

We believe comedy is one of the most powerful tools we have to understand the world around us – including climate change and its effect on our health and wellbeing. 

The Laughing Matters Fellowship will bring together established comedy creatives with world-class climate and health researchers to develop fresh, funny and authentic new projects. Over three months, selected participants will develop early-stage ideas into projects for film, TV and digital/social platforms. Successful applicants will gain support in accessing expert research to support the development of new ideas.

Thriller Lab will bring together creative talent and world-class experts from academia and the charity sector. Over three months, selected participants will develop early-stage ideas into powerful stories for film, TV, video games, and social platforms (including vertical dramas). Successful applicants will gain support in accessing world class research to support the development of new ideas.

We’re backing thrillers that dig deep into the human condition – stories that combine edge-of-your-seat suspense with authentic insights.
