Polly Hill
Head of Drama, ITV
Polly Hill was appointed Head of Drama at ITV in 2016 and in that time has been responsible for a range of drama from Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Trigger Point, Liar, Grace, Karen Pirie, DI Ray, and Malpractice, to The Thief His wife and the Canoe, Manhunt, Des and Quiz. She has recently been responsible for the increased investment in drama for ITVX, launching strongly with A Spy Among Friends, Nolly and Without Sin, and the upcoming new dramas including Passenger, Joan and The Winter King providing a great compliment to ITV1.
Before joining ITV Polly was at the BBC for 10 years, as Controller of Drama and before that Head of Independent Drama. She was responsible for a number of huge shows on BBC1, from The Night Manager, Poldark, The Missing, The Street and Death in Paradise, to The Shadow Line, Wolf Hall and The Last Kingdom on BBC2
Before joining the BBC Polly was a producer on Cherished which won a Grierson Award, she worked at C4 on the first series of Teachers. Her first break in tv after university came with Verity Lambert at Cinema Verity, before getting her first script editing job on EastEnders.
