Set in the 1990’s we follow sixteen-year-old Frankie as she navigates moving out of care, first love and an uncertain future. Inspired by Morton’s own complex experience of growing up in the care system Samantha Morton raises the question of what happens to a young person when the state no longer feels that they have a duty of care to them and looks beyond the intentions of the care system to the reality of being dependant on it.
