Mishal joined the BBC as a producer and worked as an international news presenter, including being based in Singapore and Washington, before joining Radio 4’s ‘Today’ programme and fronting news bulletins on BBC One. She has also presented critically acclaimed documentaries including Malala – Shot for Going to School.
Mishal has been named by the Sunday Times as one of the 500 most influential people in Britain. She won Broadcaster of the Year at London Press Club Awards, Presenter of the Year at Women in Film and TV Awards and was named one of the Financial Times’ Women of the Year.
Her first book was ‘The Skills: How to Win at Work’ and her family memoir ‘Broken Threads: My Family from Empire to Independence’ is published in June.
