Mishal Husain to Host This Year’s OKRE Summit

OKRE is thrilled to announce that Mishal Husain will host this year’s OKRE Summit, to be held on Wednesday June 15th in London. The OKRE summit is a new annual event bringing together leaders from across the entertainment and charity sectors to build cross-sector collaborations and champion entertainment content that makes a real difference in the world.

The programme features keynote speakers and panel discussions exploring how entertainment can engage with big issues, from climate change to health, poverty and migration. Mishal Husain will also be ‘In Conversation’ with writer, director and producer Gurinder Chadha.

Mishal Husain presents the Today Programme on BBC Radio 4 and the BBC News at Ten on Sunday nights on BBC1. In two decades in journalism her work has taken her from refugee camps to international summits and from interviewing prime ministers to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

She has won four awards including the London Press Club’s Broadcaster of the Year and Women in Film and TV’s Presenter of the Year. Her book The Skills: From First Job to Dream Job, What Every Woman Needs to Know was published in the UK in September 2018 and in the US in Spring 2019.
