Aradhna Tayal appointed as Director of OKRE Summit

Aradhna Tayal has joined OKRE as Director of the OKRE Summit, a flagship event planned for Summer 2022, bringing together people from across the entertainment industry, research sector and social impact.

A strategic consultant and leader in industry development, Aradhna brings a strong background in TV, film and audio to OKRE’s senior team. As well as leading the Summit team to launch the inaugural event next year, she will be driving a multi-year strategy to grow the pivotal event internationally.  

Formerly at the BBC, Aradhna is Director of Clockhouse Media and has led events, initiatives and strategies across the creative industries with a focus on widening engagement across the UK’s diverse society. Her past portfolio includes BBC Shorts, Creative Cities Convention, the Worldwide Association for Women Journalists and Writers, AudioUK, Sadler’s Wells, the National Theatre and the Film and TV Charity. She is a committee member of the Royal Television Society, London and Chair of the Jury for their student awards.  

Co-founder and Director of Radio TechCon and former trustee of The Radio Academy, Aradhna was awarded a Radio Academy Fellowship in 2020 for her services to the audio industry.

OKRE is a global hub connecting expertise in the entertainment industries, research sector and personal lived experience. The charity works to support the creation of content that expands people’s understanding of the world.

Aradhna is the newest member of OKRE’s expanding senior team which has also been joined by Kat Harrison-Dibbits as Head of Communications. A chartered PR and former journalist, Kat’s background spans communications across arts, culture and Higher Education.  

Also providing their expertise to the charity are OKRE’s Board of Trustees, chaired by Dr Yvonne Thompson CBE, who is joined by Patrick Bradley (Founder, Station 12), Kerstin von der Brelie (Chief People Officer, OneFootball), Laura Clare (Director of Communications EMEA, Instagram), Philomena Gibbons (Wellcome), Nick Button-Brown (Videogames & Technology Executive) and Tessa James (TV Production Finance).  

OKRE’s is supported by a range of organisations including include Wellcome, Unbound Philanthropy,  Joseph Rowntree Foundation and Esmée Fairbairn Foundation. Their partners include BBC, BFI and UKIE.
